Idle Time
This is a photograph of my 1984 Porsche 944. This photo was taken on a cool, brisk day on Friday, February 17th. I drove my car to Newport, Rhode Island (Ocean Drive). Shutter speed: 1/80 F stop: 2. This photo was taken for landscape/seascape project we took part in. One strength that is in this picture has to be the lines and shapes that flow down the body of the car. The hood has 2 pop up headlights. Body lines in the hood flow up from where the pop up headlights and fade away as it gets closer to the windshield. The lines flowing up from the fender flairs on the body is another strong point. They flow from the front to the rear. It gives the car different shapes and gives it a smooth looking texture. This photo gives a visual to make you want to run your hand down the paint of the car and feel it's lines and shape. The lighting in the background is very bright yet you can still tell that the photo was taken by the water in Newport. You can see a rock formation in the background as well as a house on top of a hill behind the car.
Beyond the Evergreen
This photo's greatest strength would have to be the lighting. The light shining through the back of the evergreen branches. This photo has a shallow depth of field. The background i
Old Waves
I took this beautiful photo in Newport, Rhode Island on Ocean Drive. Originally, this photo was very crisp and clear. I wanted to try something different. I went on photo shop and played with the saturation and clearness of the photo to make it look retro as if it has been aged over the years. The quality isnt as clear and crisp and it makes this photo one of my favorites.
Billy by the Ocean
Silent Wings
This photo was taken at Weetamoo Woods in Tiverton, Rhode Island. I was watching this bird for a long long time. I had my 300mm lens with a 1/125 shutter speed on just waiting for the perfect shot. I sat with my camera set on this bird for about 45 minutes aimed at it. My eye was starting to cramp up from squinting at the bird as I pulled my eye away to give it a rest the bird decided to take off so I frantically just pressed the button to take the picture. I figured it would be blurry so I didn't even look at it. When I got back to my car I decided to look at it anyway and it didn't come out too bad.
Across the lines
This photo has great lighting that doesn't give away too much, but enough to understand. There is a silhouette of a figure standing in the road. You can see the sun over the ocean and there are massive ships in the background of the photo. Though a figure is standing directly in the middle of the photo, the focus is around the figure. There is an ocean view with the sun. there are rocks along with other figures in the background. I took this photo with a 1/25 shutter speed and i was using a 55 millimeter lens.
